The YMCA of Barry County has been serving the community since 1916, with over 5,000 Barry County children, families and adults annually accessing services through Camp Algonquin, Community Outreach, Sports and Recreation, Aquatics, Child Care and more. Because of our strong community support, generous donors and strong volunteers, we are able to give more, be more and grow more.
Camp Algonquin was founded in 1946 by leaders of the community to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected to the outdoors, and secure. As we enter our 75th summer of camping on the shores of Algonquin Lake, we encourage you to consider a gift which will allow a new family to experience what thousands of campers who have come before already know. Camp is a place to belong, a place to build friendships and a place to gain a sense of achievement.
In addition to summer camp, the Y is proud of its long standing commitment to addressing the growing needs of our local communities. Through family activities, swim lessons, childcare, Y Mentors, and our new B. Bus Mobile Library collaboration, we impact over 5,000 residents in Barry County. Beyond those who participate, their families and friends have a positive image of everything the Y provides.
We rely on the gifts of others to help sustain our programs. Help us make our community a better place to live by making a financial commitment to the YMCA of Barry County. Donations can be made online, in the mail, or over the phone.
