YMCA of Barry County

Invest In Your Community. Build a Brighter Future.

The YMCA of Barry County has been serving the community since 1916, with over 5,000 Barry County children, families and adults annually accessing services through Camp Algonquin, Community Outreach, Sports and Recreation, Child Care and more. Because of our strong community support, generous donors and strong volunteers, we are able to give more, be more, and grow more.

Camp Algonquin was founded in 1946 by leaders of the community to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected to the outdoors, and secure. As we enter our 79th summer of camping on the shores of Algonquin Lake, we encourage you to consider a gift which will allow a new family to experience what thousands of campers who have come before already know. Camp is a place to belong, a place to build friendships and a place to gain a sense of achievement.

We rely on the gifts of others to help sustain our programs. Help us make our community a better place to live by making a financial commitment to the YMCA of Barry County. Donations can be made online, in the mail, or over the phone.

Your Giving Impact

Provides food for a month for a child visiting Y on the Fly.

Provides children with the opportunity to be part of a sports team.

Provides secure afterschool care or summer care for children through Y Time Child Care.

Allows two children to participate in Camp Algonquin day camp and make new friends.

Helps keep our B. Bus Mobile Library filled with fuel so we can bring books to youth.

Allows a child to gain independence at Camp Algonquin overnight camp.

Keeps ALL of our programs affordable, so that more families can participate regularly.

Your contribution will ensure that we are able to continue to provide these services to Barry County youth, regardless of their ability to pay. Our Y promises that every dollar raised goes directly towards a child in need to help cover the fees associated with a YMCA program.
